She tossed and turned, slithered and squirmed. Sleep continued to elude her but she couldn’t put a finger on the reason behind it. Thoughts kept floating in and out of her brain. She kept her eyes shut to concentrate on calming her mind. Turned out to be a lost cause. Continue reading “Nightcap”

It was a bleak midwinters day. Cold and icy, gray and dull. She stretched out on the lounge chair by the wall of windows in the drawing room of her apartment. Realizing Continue reading “Slice of pizza”
She had never felt more humiliated in her life than she did yesterday. She thought sleeping over it would make her feel better or at the least not as horrible as she had felt during those torturous 5 minutes that seemed to never end. But that didn’t help. Some ingredients she could hardly even pronounce let alone know the use of them. Precariously she began her hunt for the items on her list. She emerged from the market after about an hour, feeling slightly proud of herself for shopping healthy.
Instantly shifting focus to her now uncontrollably grumbling stomach, she hopped to the bakery next door and happily pointed out to her favorite cheesecake when asked for her order… 🙂
